The "Arezoo" collection is a tribute to a girl who survived an acid attack in Iran, and whose incredible strength served as an inspiration to create a collection that follows two distinct themes: deconstruction and the shape of dried flowers. These themes were instrumental in the creation of a new, feminist silhouette that highlights the beauty, power, and strength of women. The design process began with experimentation with different silhouettes that aimed to capture the concept of deconstruction, which represents the victims of acid attacks as they struggle to rebuild their lives. These survivors undergo numerous surgeries to restore their original features, but often find that their appearance is permanently altered. Despite these challenges, these women remain beautiful, powerful, and strong. Through the "Arezoo" collection, we hope to showcase their resilience and inspire others to see the beauty and strength that lies within all of us. Furthermore, sustainability is a key consideration in my design approach, which is why the "Arezoo" collection incorporates several sustainable elements. To begin with, I have incorporated biomaterials into my designs, which are biodegradable and have the potential to replace conventional fabrics, thereby reducing fabric waste. Through experimentation with different recipes, I have identified the optimal biomaterial blend to use in my garments. Additionally, I have incorporated dried and dyed flowers into the biomaterial to reinforce the collection's concept. Another sustainable approach that I have employed is modularity, whereby two of the shirts in the collection consist of interchangeable parts, enabling users to change the style and wear the garment in multiple ways. Additionally, using only one material to create a garment is a sustainable approach, and as such, I have utilized a single type of material in two different colors to create a cohesive design that is also eco-friendly. By incorporating these sustainable elements into my designs, I hope to promote environmentally conscious fashion practices and inspire others to embrace sustainable fashion
