In todays society, governments and large organizations restrict people’s actions and behaviors through laws and rules especially for the youth. Those rules in coordinated societies, more than often prevent how individuals can dress and present themselves in their environment. Thus, this brings up the concept of uniforms.
WHILE I FEEL YOUR STARE focuses on how to reflect one’s individuality and emotions through garments by breaking the law and rules. That led the project to go towards demolishing existing uniforms, defeating the expectations and giving life to a piece of clothing that once was just a tool for leaders in order to control their followers beliefs and emotions as a norm. By destroying uniforms concepts and creating an innovative and exclusive way to the user that can reflect their emotions and personality, mankind can have the chance to bring more peace to the world. This can be a rebellion’s chance to a second life. Since fashion industry uses trends specially with fast fashion, to move the way of clothing towards controlled and coordinated societies, using second hand items can be a stop to the intention of fashion industry playing with the same code.
